Heel Pain Treatment

heel pain Heel pain is most commonly caused by repetitive stress. With that being said, it may be more common for athletes who perform repetitive movements to be afflicted with heel pain at some point during their activity. Heel pain can occur due to a number of different factors. These may include issues with having poor circulation, complications due to arthritis and diabetes, and poor form when running or exercising, as well as having poor posture.

Foot and Ankle Pain

Foot pain can come in various forms and for a number of different reasons. When discomfort is experienced, it’s extremely important that you visit with a podiatrist who can properly diagnose the reason for the pain. Common causes of foot pain may include overuse injuries, such as from sporting activities like running. Other causes include complications due to arthritis, as well as diabetes. There are a number of foot conditions that can lead to foot pain as well.

Minimially Invasive Bunion Treatment

If you have arthritis, frequently wear tight fitting shoes such as high heels, and are older in age, it’s very likely that you may develop a bunion. A bony hump at the base of the big toe is the biggest sign that you may have developed this condition. Bunions are often painful and typically cause an extreme amount of discomfort. Because a bunion protrudes on the side of the foot, it’s likely for it to continuously rub against the inside of your shoe. This causes frequent friction and pain, which may cause calluses to form as well.

Nerve Pain Treatment

Nerves that extend beyond the spinal cord and pass through the extremities may have to pass through small canals or tunnels. In the ankle, the tarsal tunnel is a small canal in which nerves often become compressed, creating symptoms of numbness, tingling, or burning pain. To free trapped peripheral nerves, a patient may consider nerve decompression surgery.

Lateral Ankle Ligament Surgery

Ligaments are bands of stretchy tissues that connect bones with other bones and also stabilize joints. There are several ligaments that surround the ankle-supporting and stabilizing this hinge joint which is responsible for up-and-down and side-to-side foot movements.
